"We find ourselves in a room where people tell each other about what they have experienced, about what you normally wouldn't tell someone else. Things they themselves have experienced or what has happened to their loved ones and friends. About fear and violence. About how families are destroyed. It's all about their existence.
In this room a psychosis seminar is conducted. Within the past decade about 100 such seminars have been initiated in Germany, which shows that this is a idea whose time has come. The principle is to talk with and learn from each other. The Potsdam psychosis seminar was founded in 1996 by Prof. Peter Stolz, a psychiatrist and university professor. It takes place every other Wednesday. sometimes 40 people are in the room, sometimes 80. Some are related, most are strangers.
Every seminar is an experiment. There are as many different perspectives of understandings and truths as there people in the room."
